The actual study (image scan) does not last longer than 20 seconds, i.e. as long as an abdominal CT. The cutting-edge technology of the 3 Tesla system assists in performing advanced imaging studies, such as multiparametric prostate MRI, MR spectroscopy of the brain, functional MRI (fMRI) of the brain and MR Tractography.

Parents, the child’s pediatrician and the therapists receive a detailed written report of the assessment in order to create a relationship of trust and confidentiality, necessary for the family guidance and the follow-up of the child. The developmental assessment is a process that aims at deeper understanding of motor, social, auditory, speaking, coordination of the child as well as opportunities given by the family and educational environment, so as to achieve the best developmental potential. Specialized doctors co-ordinate each stage (check-up, examination, evaluation, therapy, follow up), using state-of-the art technologies within the contemporary environment of the MITERA hospital.

These are special MR techniques for evaluating the small bowel and its conditions. HYGEIA Hospital’s MRI Department is a center of excellence in Magnetic Resonance Imaging and the only center in Greece that can perform MRI-guided interventional breast procedures. It is very effective in diagnosing many breast conditions, while it may provide answers to a wide range of clinical problems. It is a specialized imaging exam, which must be performed when there are appropriate indications. It is usually performed as a supplemental imaging study following mammography, clinical exam or ultrasound.
